THE ROLE

Our Northwest Operations are currently seeking an experienced Yard Hand to join our growing Pilbara team for a full time role FIFO from Perth. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will be primarily trained to be responsible for the management of procurement, supply of materials, consumables, plant and equipment across the Northwest division.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintaining all goods, plant and equipment in a tidy accessible state on site;
  • Ensuring all MSDS sheets are supplied with materials delivered to sites;
  • Organising for the repair of “out of service” equipment;
  • Ensuring hazardous goods are handled, stored and transported compliant with legislation regulations;
  • Preparation of on-line purchase orders and submission to suppliers;
  • Track the status of requisitions, contracts for supply and purchase orders;
  • Communicate with project personnel regarding orders and deliveries.
  • Manage the checking of shipments when they arrive to ensure the orders have been correctly filled and the goods meet specifications;
  • Monitor in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer forms for accounting purposes;
  • Incoming/outgoing deliveries;
  • General Yard Maintenance associated with Housekeeping
  • Refueling plant on site

ABOUT YOU

  • Minimum 5 years working on site in the mining and industrial sector
  • Team player with sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Current manual drivers’ licence (MR -HR licence an advantage)
  • Current high-risk forklift licence (telehandler)
  • Organised and proactive and punctual
